Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan have entered a new phase of their lives as parents, welcoming twin daughters nearly five years after their wedding. The couple shared the news with their followers on Instagram on Sunday, August 23, revealing that both babies were born on the same day.

The couple announced the arrival of their daughters through a joint social media post, introducing their little ones as Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal.
‘We are very excited to share the news! Our hearts are full as we welcome our baby girls, Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal, born on 23.08.2026,’ they wrote.
In another heartfelt message, the couple described their daughters as a source of happiness and added, ‘My sunshines are here to brighten our lives. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Vira, Mahi.’
From four years of dating to parenthood
Seal and Ranjan’s relationship began years before they walked down the aisle. The two reportedly met in 2017 at a charity fashion event organised by Anushka’s mother. Their friendship eventually developed into a relationship.
After dating for around four years, Aditya proposed to Anushka during a holiday in Paris in October 2019.
The couple eventually got married in Mumbai on November 21, 2021. Their wedding was attended by several Bollywood names, including Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Athiya Shetty and Rhea Chakraborty.
Anushka Ranjan’s IVF journey
The arrival of the twins also comes after Anushka had openly discussed the difficult road she travelled to become a mother.
In June, she spoke about undergoing IVF and the physical and emotional demands of the treatment. She said she initially viewed IVF negatively and associated it with something being wrong with her, before changing her perspective and speaking about the need to make conversations around fertility treatment more open.
Anushka revealed that she went through approximately 150 injections during the process. She also credited Aditya and her family for standing by her throughout the journey.
Couple announced pregnancy in May
The couple first shared their pregnancy news with fans on May 29, 2026. They posted maternity pictures on Instagram, marking the beginning of a new chapter.
Now, with Vira and Mahi joining their family, Aditya and Anushka’s journey has moved from years of love and marriage to parenthood, with the couple sharing their happiness with the fans who have followed their relationship over the years.
