It was an emotional moment for Virat Kohli as he walked out to the field at the Wankhede Stadium after India posted a record-breaking total of 397 against New Zealand in the World Cup 2023 semi-finals at the Wankhede Stadium.

The ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chants were ringing loud at the Wankhede as Kohli had achieved the biggest milestone of 50 ODI hundreds in the big-ticket semi-final.

it was only a few minutes ago that the entire Wankhede Stadium was up on it feet, giving a standing ovation to Virat Kohli after he got to his hundred, his first in a World Cup knockout match.

Sachin Tendulkar, who was at the stands, was thrilled as well as he stood up to acknowledge the effort from Virat Kohli, who bowed down to the Master while celebrating his hundred.

As it turned out, Tendulkar had climbed down the stairs during the mid-innings break and he was spotted having a chat with Kohli. The two legends shared a heartwarming moment as Tendulkar embraced Kohli while patting his shoulders after India’s record-breaking innings.

Football great David Beckhan, who was also at the Wankhede Stadium as the ambassador of UNICEF, took time to meet and greet Virat Kohli and congratulate the former India captain for the remarkable feat.
