Actor Yash, currently promoting his upcoming period gangster drama Toxic, has revealed that he frequently finds himself humming songs composed by Telugu music director Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as Rockstar DSP.
Asked about his favourite Telugu songs, the KGF star named “Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh” and “Aakaleste Annam Pedta” among the tracks he particularly enjoys.
“I love that ‘Dekho Dekho Gabbar Singh’. I like one more song, ‘Aakaleste Annam Pedta’,” Yash said, adding that he enjoys DSP’s music in general.
“All the DSP songs. He is a dear friend. All his songs I really like,” he said.
Yash and Devi Sri Prasad are known to share a close friendship, with the actor often expressing his appreciation for fellow artistes and their work.
During the recent grand pre-release event of Toxic in Hyderabad, Yash also praised his co-star Kiara Advani, saying her performance as Nadia would leave a lasting impression on audiences.
Calling Kiara “an amazing actor” and “an amazing co-star”, Yash said viewers would see a different side of her in the film and predicted that audiences would “fall in love with her again”.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair in pivotal roles.
The film is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26.
Toxic has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada. Its dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam are also set to release.
