Abhishek Banerjee Steps Away From Casting Bay to Focus on Acting Career

Actor and casting director Abhishek Banerjee has stepped away from Casting Bay, the casting company he co-founded with Anmol Ahuja in 2017, to focus on his acting career and other professional commitments.

The Stree actor announced the decision on Instagram on Monday through an emotional note explaining the next phase of his professional journey.

“Sometimes moving forward doesn’t mean leaving something behind,” the note read.

It said Casting Bay was founded by two friends who shared a vision and passion for the craft, but their professional and personal journeys had since evolved in different directions.

“Abhishek has now retired from Casting Bay and continues with his acting career and other professional pursuits,” the statement said.

Ahuja will continue to lead Casting Bay.

The statement also said the two co-founders remained proud of what they had built together and grateful for their shared journey, while wishing each other well for the future.

Abhishek’s announcement drew warm reactions from colleagues and friends. His Stree co-star Aparshakti Khurana wished both co-founders success and thanked them for creating a community of artists. Avinash Tiwary responded with “Love Always”, while Kritika Kamra wrote, “What a great run! More power to you both”.

On the acting front, Abhishek has several projects lined up. He will next be seen in Mirzapur: The Movie and Lust Stories 3.

He is also set to make his Tamil debut opposite actor R. Madhavan. In another upcoming project, Abhishek has been cast as an antagonist opposite Tiger Shroff.
