Akanksha Chamola Claims Gaurav Khanna’s Lock Upp 2 Entry Affected Her Game: That Is What Shattered Me

Akanksha Chamola’s journey on Lock Upp 2 became one of the most talked-about aspects of the reality show, particularly after she opened up about her separation from actor Gaurav Khanna. While Akanksha entered the show believing that things were fine at home, Gaurav’s brief appearance inside the Lock Upp changed her emotional state. In a recent conversation, Akanksha revealed that information about her family shared during Gaurav’s entry left her deeply affected and ultimately impacted the way she approached the game.

Speaking to Lock Upp 2 co-host Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Akanksha opened up about the impact Gaurav’s appearance had on her. She explained, “When I came to Lock Upp, I came with the mindset that okay everything is okay at home.” She admitted that back at home, her family did not know about the secret and that there will be something huge.

However, things changed when Gaurav entered the show and passed on information to her about what was happening outside. Akanksha said the revelation made it difficult for her to remain focused on the competition.

She explained, “When the information was passed on to me that things are not right back home, that is what shattered me. My home. It wasn’t right, what I got to know.”

Akanksha further explained that her confidence inside the show was closely connected to the belief that her family supported her choices. She said knowing that her loved ones understood and accepted her gave her the strength to be herself publicly. The actor added that once she received the information about her family, she began constantly thinking about what might have happened.

During the conversation, Farah Khan also recalled her own reaction to  ’s entry. She admitted that she had an intuition that things could become complicated after he entered the show. Farah also praised Akanksha for being open about her personal life and secrets on national television. She told the actor that her revelations created considerable discussion around the show, but also made her deserving of the love and support she received from viewers.

 ’s personal revelations became a significant part of her Lock Upp 2 journey. She frequently spoke about her relationship, her choices and her understanding of family and marriage. Akanksha spoke candidly about her sexuality, revealing that she is bisexual. She also discussed her decision not to have children and opened up about the reasons behind her separation and plans for divorce from Gaurav.

At one point during the show, she even joked that she would have preferred her dog to visit her instead of Gaurav. Akanksha was eventually eliminated during the semi-finale of Lock Upp 2. Shreya Kalra went on to emerge as the winner of the season and Shivangi Joshi became the first runner-up.
