It is difficult for right-arm fast bowler Mohammad Siraj to play a Test match against Afghanistan. This test match is going to start from June 6 in New Chandigarh and it is difficult for Mohammad Siraj to play in it. The main reason for this is his injury. Mohammad Siraj was injured during the final of IPL 2026. However, despite this, he was seen bowling in the match. Mohammad Siraj had an injury in his right shoulder and he was feeling pain while throwing the ball. Now such reports are coming that it is not decided yet for Siraj to play in the New Chandigarh Test.
Mohammed Siraj will not play?
Mohammad Siraj The decision on playing will be taken only after seeing his fitness. Before the test match, he will have a test and only after passing it, this right-arm bowler will play that match. However, there are reports that fast bowler Gurnoor Brar may get a chance to debut in place of Siraj. This 6 feet 5 inches tall bowler can make his debut. This fast bowler from Punjab is considered very talented, which is why despite average performance in domestic cricket, he is included in Team India.
Gurnoor Brar’s first class career
Gurnoor Brar has played 18 test matches for Punjab, in which he has 52 wickets in his name. He has taken 5 wickets in an innings once and 4 wickets thrice. Brar is known for his short off good length bowling. Due to his tall height, he gets extra bounce which puts the batsmen in trouble. Brar also played 2 test matches in Ranji Trophy 2025-26 in which he took 4 wickets.
