Ranveer Singh Don 3 Row: FWICE Withdraws Non-Cooperation Directive, Will Respond To Legal Notice

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees had issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh after he quit Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 . The film body directed its members not to work on  ‘s upcoming projects.

Following this, the Bollywood actor sent a legal notice to the organisation. On June 3, FWICE held a press conference, where the film body’s president, BN Tiwari, shared an update. He revealed that they have withdrawn the non-cooperative directive against the actor. The directive was issued on May 25 after Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani filed a complaint.

According to PTI,   President BN Tiwari stated that they decided to take back their decision on Don 3 matter after a request from IMPPA, the producers’ guild and CINTAA. The organisation was told that it should sit with the producers’ body and take a decision where neither producers, director nor actors face any issues.

“No one has won or lost in this matter. Our legal department will respond to his legal notice,” said BN Tiwari. For the unversed, Farhan and Ritesh filed a complaint with Indian Film And Television Directors’ Association. It later referred the issue to FWICE for further intervention. The Don 3 producers claimed tha Rs 45 crore were already spent on the pre-production.

While Ranveer didn’t directly comment on this matter, his team had earlier issued an official statement. It was mentioned that the Dhurandhar star had consciously chosen to maintain silence because he feels that ‘professional discussions and personal equations’ are best handled with dignity, mutual respect and maturity. For those unaware, Don 3 was officially announced in 2023 with Ranveer in a lead role. However, the actor quit the film later. Since then, there’s been uncertainity around the project.

Ranveer Singh’s work front

On the work front, Ranveer is likely to be seen in Jai Mehta’s Pralay next. An official announcement about this project hasn’t been made yet. The actor was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge as Hamza Ali Mazari/ Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The Bollywood star delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of his career with the spy thriller. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film was released in theatres on March 19.

Before Dhurandhar 2 was released, the first installment arrived in theatres on December 5. Both parts featured R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Sanjay Dutt, and others in key roles.
