After Ben Stokes, another England cricketer has been involved in a nightclub incident. Brydon Carse, who is part of England’s Test squad for the series against Pakistan, was handcuffed outside a nightclub by police and led away during his team’s celebrations.
Few members of the Durham cricket team were out celebrating their win over Derbyshire. Carse was released without any charges. Interestingly, Ben Stokes was also part of the celebrations. The former England captain retired from international cricket in the aftermath of the nightclub incident following the first Test against New Zealand.
“We are aware of an incident which is reported to have taken place in Derby last night, and are currently investigating. We will provide a further update when possible,” an England Cricket Board official was quoted as saying.
The England legend scalped two wickets as they bowled out Derbyshire for 156. Stokes followed up with an unbeaten half-century in Durham’s second innings. He took a five-fer in only 7.3 overs as Durham bowled out Derbyshire for a mere total of 84 to win the game.
Carse is scheduled to join the England cricket team at Lord’s on Monday (August 24). The team will kick off its preparations from Tuesday (August 25).
Ben Stokes retired in the aftermath of nightclub incident

Ben Stokes announced a shock retirement from international cricket in the aftermath of the nightclub incident. He and Gus Atkinson were celebrating England’s win over New Zealand at a nightclub. Both players were kept out of the team for the second Test.
They returned to the squad for the third and final Test of the series. Stokes made the shocking retirement announcement during the third game. He continues to play domestic cricket for Durham.
Brendon McCullum stepped down as England’s Test coach after Stokes’ retirement. He will continue to coach England in white-ball cricket.
