Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee marked her birthday with a heartfelt message on self-growth, saying she loves the person she has become over the years.
The actress shared glimpses of her birthday getaway on Instagram, posting a series of pictures from the celebrations.
“Growing into myself, one year at a time. And I love this version of me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME,” Devoleena wrote in the caption.
Devoleena is best known for portraying Gopi Bahu in the Star Plus television shows ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ and ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2’. She has also participated in reality shows including ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and ‘Bigg Boss 14’ and appeared in fiction shows such as ‘Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya’ and ‘Dil Diyaan Gallaan’.
The actress has also remained vocal on social and public issues. In July, she called for the resignation of education ministers in Punjab, Kerala and Karnataka after reacting to a social media post about developments involving education ministers.
Sharing her reaction, Devoleena wrote, “Countdown begins…… Shubh kaam mein aur deri nahi honi chahiye…Own it & Resign.”
Earlier this month, Devoleena also spoke about Independence Day and the values she hopes to pass on to her son Joy.
“As a mother, teaching my son Joy to celebrate Independence Day is teaching him to remember where we come from,” she said, describing moments such as waving the national flag and listening to the national anthem as early lessons in pride and gratitude.
She added that she wanted her child to understand that India’s freedom was achieved through sacrifice and that being Indian should be associated with kindness, courage and unity.
