Yash’s Toxic gets CBFC nod without any cuts, internet says ‘They only have…’

Kannada star Yash’s pan-India release Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Adults is just days away from its release. The film, which has generated massive buzz among audiences, is all set to hit the big screens on August 26, 2026. Before the release of the film, the movie had to go through the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) process. Interestingly, upon seeing the first look of the movie, fans thought that the CBFC would make major changes to the film and ask the makers to remove several scenes. However, contrary to expectations, the CBFC gave a green signal to the film with an ‘A’ certification and no cuts.

Toxic clears with no cuts

The CBFC cleared the film last week. Toxic has been shot in Kannada and English and has a runtime of 3 hours and 12 minutes. The CBFC has only asked the makers to mute and replace two words and phrases in the Kannada version, along with corresponding changes in the English subtitles.

The mandatory anti-smoking and anti-drinking warnings have also been instructed to be added. Apart from these changes, the CBFC has not sought any cuts in the film. However, the film has been granted an ‘A’ certificate.

How did the internet react to Toxic having no cuts?

The film raised the temperature when the makers released the first look of the movie. The raunchy scenes between Yash and Beatriz Taufenbach took over the internet, and fans thought that the movie, as it goes by the title A Fairy Tale For Adults, would have many such scenes, which may not go well with the CBFC. However, when the regulatory body cleared the movie without any cuts, fans were left thrilled.

One Reddit comment read, “CBFC goes blind when it comes to women being objectified.” Another wrote, “They have a problem with Spiderman kissing only….that’s harmful for our culture lol,” quipped one. Another chimed in, “There was no kiss, so no cuts were needed. CBFC has clear priorities.”
