We are talking about Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 locking horns with Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 and this clash has been a cinematic treat for the fans. For the uninitiated, Awarapan 2 is the much awaited sequel to the 2007 release Awarapan and also features Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky and Puran Gabbi. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Batwara 1947 has maintained a steady hold at the box office with a slight dip wherein the movie earned Rs 1.35cr on day 7 (first Thursday). As a result, the movie’s collection emerged as Rs 33.6cr nett after week 1 of release while the gross collection turned out to be Rs 39.87cr

On the other hand, Awarapan 2 saw 11% dip in numbers and earned Rs 6cr on day 7 (first Thursday). This took the overall collection to Rs 113.5cr nett and Rs 135.37cr gross after week 1 of release
