In Lucknow, a case of cheating of crores has come up with Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s brother and Prateek Yadav, husband of Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Aparna Yadav, Aparna Yadav. It is alleged that a person cheated him with crores of rupees by taking him in the name of investment and when the money was asked back, he was threatened with death and defaming him. Not only this, the accused threatened to implicate the Poxo Act and also made an alleged audio viral on social media.
This case has been registered at Gautampalli police station. The name of the accused is Krishnanand Pandey, who is said to be a resident of Chinhat area. Prateek Yadav has described his wife and father as well as this fraud in this complaint in the complaint.
According to Prateek Yadav, he met Krishnanand Pandey during 2011-12. After this, the accused formed a company in the name of real estate and told them that buying land in the Shaheed Path area of Lucknow will make a huge profit in future. Prateek Yadav invested in a company in the year 2015 after coming in this deception. In which he was a promoter and Krishnanand was the director.
First avoided, then threatened
The problem started when Prateek asked for the amount of his investment back. At first it was evicted but later the accused started threatening them. Prateek Yadav says that on asking for money, Krishnanand threatened to make him a fake video viral to implicate and defame him in the Poxo Act. Later, extortion of four crore rupees was also demanded.
Police engaged in investigation
The police have registered a case and started investigation. Action is being taken against the accused in the case under sections of fraud, threats and extortion. Police say that further action will be taken on the basis of technical evidence.
