Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition: What’s New At INR 2.11 Lakh?

Royal Enfield has launched a new ‘Gorkha Edition’ of the Classic 350 at INR 2.11 lakh. The renowned retro roadster remains mechanically unchanged. Named after the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army, this colourway commemorates the unit’s bravery and discipline.

The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition continues with the classic design of the standard motorcycle, featuring a few design changes that reflect its special edition nature. It has a matte military green color like army vehicles, while the side panels feature the crossed Khukri logo of the Gorkha Regiment. Also, there is a special decal on the fuel tank with the name ‘Gorkha Edition’.

Speaking at the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer , said, “With the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, we pay tribute to an extraordinary military legacy defined by fierce bravery, loyalty and absolute honour. Every detail stays true to the timeless character of the Classic 350, while the bespoke Gorkha insignia speak of the values that have defined this regiment for generations.”

The Gorkha Edition does not come with any mechanical or electrical upgrades compared to the existing Classic 350. The motorcycle will continue to use the 349cc single-cylinder petrol engine from the J-series, delivering 20.2 hp and 27Nm of torque, along with a five-speed transmission system. The braking technology is the same, and buyers get dual-channel ABS on this variant.

On the equipment front, the Gorkha Edition still comes with the semi-digital instrument console, however, the tripper navigation pod is not available. This feature is optional for buyers to purchase as an additional accessory. There are seven colours in which the Classic 350 is available. As per the variant, the buyers get the single or dual-channel ABS with the Classic 350.

The other new features include an assist and slipper clutch and a USB Type-C charging point, which are also available with the regular Classic 350. The Gorkha Edition costs Rs 2.11 lakh and is positioned mid-way in the Classic 350 line-up. Bookings for this special edition start today.

“The strength of the Gorkha Regiment lies not only in its history, but in the values of courage, discipline and honour that have been upheld across generations. It is a privilege to see this legacy acknowledged through the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, which pays tribute to the spirit and traditions of the Gorkha soldiers with dignity and respect,” noted Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, President, Gorkha Brigade.
