The Alliance may be over, but the drama isn’t! While Mini Mathur lifted the trophy and took home the cash prize after emerging as the winner, TV actor Kushal Tandon remains one of the most controversial participants from the debut season. Not just the internet, even his co-contestants are divided over his remarks and behaviour. Days after the show came to an end, Nikhil Chinapa called out Tandon during an appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s chat show Double Date. He spoke about their contrasting personalities and reiterated that he could never be friends with someone like Kushal.

Speaking candidly about their differences, Nikhil Chinapa said that his and ‘s personality and approach to life are completely opposite. He recalled the actor’s aggressive behaviour on the show and said that he feared these arguments could’ve taken an ugly turn. “If by mistake anyone slaps the other person,” he said, implying that Kushal was capable of getting physically violent.
However, Nikhil clarified that there was no intention of deliberately taking things that far.
The Roadies fame further said that he didn’t consider Kushal a friend and dismissed the possibility of their bond ever turning warm. He said the issue was not just their disagreement on the show, but that they looked at life and people very differently. He added that Kushal and he “cannot be friends ever” because of this.

also spoke about Kushal’s attitude and comments towards women. He said that he was uncomfortable with the way Kushal would allegedly pass comments about girls and indulge in what he described as character assassination and make vulgar remarks.
Moreover, Tandon treated such behaviour as something “cool” or acceptable, said Nikhil, and added that he could not agree with this. He also made it clear that his perspective on women was entirely different and that he was uncomfortable with the idea of making derogatory or vulgar comments about girls for “entertainment or social acceptance.”
For those unversed, Kushal faced backlash during for his comments about his ex-girlfriend and Zaid Darbar’s wife, Gauahar Khan. He had also engaged in an ugly spat with Uorfi Javed’s sister, Dolly Javed.
Interestingly, Nikhil has also faced criticism for his remarks about women. Gauahar had publicly lashed out at him after he took a dig at her take on The Alliance and suggested that perimenopause had something to do with it. His comment faced massive backlash online.
