Little Hearts emerged as one of the biggest Telugu success stories of 2025. Starring young actors Mouli Tanuj Prashanth and Shivani Nagaram, the film marked the directorial debut of Sai Marthand, grandson of veteran filmmaker BV Prasad.
Speaking about the film recently during Peddi promotions, Jagapathi Babu made some surprisingly candid remarks. He described Little Hearts as a “nonsense film,” clarifying that he meant it in the sense that the movie did not follow conventional cinematic formulas. He noted that while the film was handled well, its narrative and climax felt unconventional, and he had even suggested that Sai Marthand refine the climax further.
Despite those observations, Jagapathi Babu praised the director’s confidence and unique approach. He said the film carried a certain freshness and innocence that resonated with audiences, which ultimately contributed to its success. He also revealed that Sai had initially approached him for the role that was eventually played by Rajiv Kanakala.
Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu is now producing Sai Marthand’s next project, which will star Adivi Sesh in the lead. We (123telugu.com) were the first to exclusively reveal the happening of the project, which is being jointly produced by Jagapathi Babu and Asian Suniel Narang. When asked about the film’s shooting schedule, Jagapathi Babu said the decision rests with the director and Suniel Narang, indicating that an official update will be announced at the appropriate time.
