Mira Singh Fish Farming: Meera Singh of Jaunpur succeeded in fisheries with the help of Yogi Sarkar’s Mission Shakti and Blue Kranti Yojana. Meera, which started from 1 acre to 25 acres, became an example of self -sufficiency for women by producing 1400 quintals today.

Meera, who once lived amid limited means, has not only improved the economic condition of her family through fisheries, but has opened a new way of inspiration for rural women.
Travel started from 1 acre, 25 acres of business spread
Meera Singh started fisheries from one acre of land in the year 2020-21. A grant of Rs 15 lakh and scientific training received under the Yogi government’s blue revolution scheme and mission power gave wings to their dreams. Today Meera is fisheries in an area of 25 acres and 1400 quintals are achieving annual production.

Became the center of employment and self -reliance
Today Meera’s form is employing more than 10 people. Fish born from their ponds are reaching the surrounding villages and markets. Meera has strengthened the rural economy by producing 1250 Kuntal Pangesius, 60-60 Kuntal Rohu and Bhakur, and 30 quintal migar.
Mission power became the support of women
Meera says- “The government’s plans not only made us self-reliant, but also gave confidence. Today we are living a safe and respected life. I want every woman to move forward with her hard work.” Mission Shakti has made women aware of both self -defense and economic freedom. Meera is now preparing a new generation of self -reliance by training other rural women in fisheries.
