What Are Vata, Pitta, And Kapha?: According to Ayurveda, every human body and nature is based on the balance of three major elements Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Together these three decide our physical structure, mental state, digestive power, behavior and tendency of diseases. On the basis of these, our nature i.e. Ayurvedic body type is formed. Some have more vata, some bile or phlegm. If you understand what your nature is, then you can adapt your food, routine and way of thinking accordingly and stay healthy for a long time.
According to Ayurveda, every human body rests on the balance of three main defects Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These defects are called ‘Tridosh’. The proportion of these three is different in every person, and on the basis of this, his physical and mental nature is determined. This is called your Ayurvedic body type (Prakriti).
Who are the people of Vata Nature

They feel hungry quickly and if they do not get food, they can become irritable. Such people are confident, sensible and leadership, but anger comes quickly. Strong sunlight, chili-spices and heat can be harmful for them.
People with phlegm nature
Kapha- is associated with water and earth elements. People of this nature are usually strong bodies, stable nature and calm minds. They have more tolerance, but they can also surround them quickly. Digestion is slow, so weight increases quickly. Cold weather, heavy food and more comfort can harm them.

In Ayurveda, your body type is detected by looking at your skin, hair, hunger, sleep, behavior and body texture. Many people also have mixed nature, such as Vata-Pitta or Kapha-Vast.
