According to the legend, there was an extremely powerful demon called Jalandhar, which Lord Shiva had generated from his yogic power. Jalandhar’s wife Vrinda (Pre -birth of Tulsi) was an ultimate virtuous woman, due to which no deity was able to beat Jalandhar.
