It added that the process is still underway and asked the media and other stakeholders to refrain from speculation or reporting based on unverified or unsubstantiated information.

Expanded Screening Follows Flight Incident
The expanded screening follows the August 4 Phuket-Delhi flight incident involving AI2379, an Airbus A320 that experienced a sudden altitude variation during cruise. The airline has described the current exercise as an additional safety measure that exceeds the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s existing random testing norms.
