After which the temple was built here by the royal family and the idol was installed. Ever since the idol of Goddess Maa Kalika is installed.
Story of Rani Talab Temple
The temple has been granted with the golden jewelery of the mother in this temple by the Rewa royal family. The mother’s makeup is done with gold jewelery on Ashtami and Navami. The story behind Mata’s makeup is that the son was getting married in the forest of King Vishwanath. Then mother came to her dream and said that you are going to marry the son but there is nothing for us. Then the mother was asked what you want, then the mother said that first get my sixteen adornments done and after that the procession will go. Then the royal house called the goldsmiths and made the jewelery of the mother, and the mother was worn and then went to the procession. Since then, special worship has been being done from the royal family.

Pandit Devi Prasad Sharma, the head priest of Rani Talab Temple, said that this temple is the most popular temple in the city, the faith of devotees is built in the doorpost of Maa Kalika.
