Mihir Ahuja: Operation Safed Sagar fulfilled his dream of playing an IAF officer

For actor Mihir Ahuja,  is more than just another project. To him, the role of Indian Air Force (IAF) officer CH Bal Reddy, aka Baldy, is a sign that sometimes the universe gives you exactly what you wished for.

After all, growing up, Ahuja was deeply moved by Hrithik Roshan’s Lakshya (2004) and hoped to play an Indian Armed Forces officer on screen one day.

“I was moved by Hrithik Roshan’s performance in Lakshya when I saw it for the first time. It wasn’t just the film’s scale, but the emotional transformation of his character that stayed with me,” recalled Ahuja, before adding, “I always hoped that one day I would play a character that carried the same sense of purpose and responsibility.”

Years later, he bagged the role of Baldy in the Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, and Abhay Verma-led Netflix series that chronicles the . Ahuja shared, “When I was offered the role of Flying Officer Baldy, it felt like something I had been manifesting for years. Wearing the uniform, understanding the mindset of an Air Force officer, and being part of a story that honours our armed forces has been fulfilling. Life came full circle — from being inspired by Lakshya to finally getting the opportunity to live a similar dream on screen.”
