South Africa vs Pakistan: The Pakistani team is being criticized due to its performance and controversies in the Asia Cup 2025. His chances of winning the title are not looking strong and it is proving to be a big challenge for him to reach the finals. But the challenges of the Pakistani team are not limited to the Asia Cup only. After this tournament, he has to go through a bigger test. After the Asia Cup, the Pakistani team has to face the World Test Champion (WTC) South Africa in their home, for which the African team has been announced. But not only Pakistan, but also for South Africa itself, it has increased difficult because the team captain Temba Bavuma will not be a part of this tour.

WTC champion South Africa will visit Pakistan for the two -Test series next month. After winning the championship in June, the South African team will land on the field for the first time. This will be his first series in the new Test Championship cycle. Earlier, she had played the series against Zimbabwe but she was not part of the Test Championship and most of the team winning teams were not there. But now these players are returning and the world champion will start a campaign to defend his title.

Bavuma out of the series, Marmar captain

Cricket South Africa announced the Test Squad for the tour of Pakistan on Monday 22 September but it did not include captain Temba Bavuma. Bavuma suffered an injury during the ODI series against England, due to which he has not recovered and in such a situation he will not be part of this tour to be held in October. In Bavuma’s absence, star batsman Aidan Markram will take charge of the team. Not only Bavuma, but star spinner Keshav Maharaj is also struggling with injury and he has got a place in the team only for the second Test.

In view of the circumstances of Pakistan, South African selectors have called spinner Simon Humor in the team after 2 years. Apart from them, there will be 2 other spinners in the Cenuran Muthusamy and Purnanean Subrayan team. Subrayan had to be eliminated from the series last month due to suspicious action but now his action has got a clean chit and in such a situation he can prove to be important for the team on the tour of Pakistan.

The first match will be held in Lahore, while the second Test match will be played in Rawalpindi from October 20. This will be the first series of both teams in the current WTC.
