Jungkook, one of the most loved member of K-pop boy band BTS turns 28 today. Being the youngest, he was barely 16 when he debuted with the seven-member group.

He got the nickname ‘Golden Maknae’ and is truly living upto it. His friendships with BTS members is loved by many, but his special bond with ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo is fans’ favourite. JK flew amid a shoot just to have dinner with the latter from the US and it took over the internet.

Previously believed to be in Los Angeles alongside other BTS members to work on their anticipated 2026 comeback album, Jungkook came back to Seoul in July with a special reason. Fans speculated that his sudden return may be to bid farewell to his close friend, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, who enlisted to begin his military service on July 28th.

A fan’s claim that they saw Jungkook in South Korea sparked buzz on social media. Jungook and Cha Eun Woo are from the 97-liner idols, born in 1997, and are good friends. The BTS members all reconvened in Los Angeles to produce their new album, all set to drop sometime in spring 2026.

For the unversed, the two also left autographs for the restaurant owner who served them their dinner at the establishment and now, the picture of their signatures is going viral all over social media.

 

 

Actor Cha Eun Woo gifted a precious watch to Jungkook, who enlisted on December 12, 202,3, alongside fellow member Jimin. He was seen wearing it while dressed in his soldier uniform as the members all gathered to welcome Jin back on his military discharge day in June 2024, proving their close friendship.
