Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela have collaborated for the first time on Anurag Basu’s untitled next. The shoot of this romantic musical has been going on for a while now. The first look of Kartik and Sreeleela was released on social media. For that matter, a few pictures and videos were leaked from the set, leaving fans excited for their movie. The latest development on this project is that the actress has apparently resumed the shoot to complete her remaining portions of the movie. It is to be noted that she makes her big Bollywood debut with the Anurag Basu directorial.
Sreeleela To Complete Remaining Portions Of Anurag Basu Film?
According to Pinkvilla report, has already resumed shooting for her Bollywood debut film opposite Kartik. The actress is reportedly shoot in Mumbai for the project. “She is currently shooting her portions, and the schedule is progressing as planned. The film is being mounted as a large-scale, intense romantic musical and is expected to be one of the major upcoming releases,” a source told the entertainment portal.

Earlier, in an interview with Variety India, director had said that he wanted to complete the Kartik-Sreeleela starrer so he can start working on the Kishore Kumar biopic. The filmmaker also clarified rumours surrounding his film’s completion, stating that he hadn’t shot more than 45 days for the project. His last directorial venture was Metro… In Dino.
Kartik Aaryan’s Work Front
On the work front, Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the romantic comedy opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 32.95 crore in India, and Rs 49.50 crore at the worldwide box office. Up next, the actor has Naagzilla lined up for a theatrical release. It has been directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and it will be released in theatres on February 12, 2027. The actor also reportedly has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Sreeleela, on the other hand, was last seen in filmmaker Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The action-comedy featured Pawan Kalyan in the titular role alongside Rao Ramesh, Gautami, Raashii Khanna, and more. Her upcoming project is OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood with Dhanush. The Rajkumar Periasamy directorial has been scheduled to hit the silver screen on October 16, 2026.
