New Delhi: Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are set for a big payday as they gear up to lock horns in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final. The blockbuster summit clash between the two clubs will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Monday. While the two clubs have already racked up a fortune for making it to the final, a bonus of $40 million will be at stake in the summit clash.
Chelsea secured a spot in the final after thrashing Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-finals, while the reigning European champions PSG thrashed Real Madrid 4-0 to reach the title clash. FIFA announced a USD 1 billion prize pool for the 32 clubs taking part in the revamped Club World Cup this year, comprising USD 475 million in performance incentives and USD 525 million in participation prize money. Both Chelsea and PSG have already secured a significant sum from that pool, but the winner of the final will pocket an additional $40 million.

Though it is yet to be confirmed officially by FIFA, Chelsea will reportedly earn a sum of $13.75 million as a participation fee from FIFA for taking part in the tournament. Enzo Maresca’s men made $4 million in the group stage after winning two and losing one of their three matches in Group D. They made &7.5 million for reaching the Round of 16 and added another $13.125 million to their kitty for making it to the quarterfinals after beating Benfica.
Chelsea defeated Palmeiras in the quarterfinal to add another $21 million to their earnings, before pocketing another $30 million by beating Fluminense to reach the final. Overall, Chelsea have already made a handsome $89.5 million in the Club World Cup 2025.
PSG, on the other hand, will reportedly receive a participation fee of $32.05 million for taking part in the tournament as the reigning European champions. Like Chelsea, they have already racked up a total of 74.625 million from reaching the final, including two victories in the group stage. Overall, PSG have so far made nearly $107 million in the tournament.
