The second edition of Osteoporosis Course 2025 was held in Delhi on Sunday. In which more than 300 orthopadic (special bones) surgeons from different parts of the country attended. The organizer and guarning director of the program, Dr. Rajiv Jain, said that through this program, doctors are given new information related to osteoporosis, new information related to osteoporosis. Along with this, they are told about new treatment techniques and medicines. It was told in this work shop that what is osteoporosis, how this disease affects bones and who is at the most risk of it.
The program’s organizing chairman and orthopedic surgeon Dr. L. Tomar said, ‘This course organized by East Delhi Orthopedic Association will be conducted every year, as it also shared experiences by experienced doctors. What is osteoporosis?
Experts say that osteoporosis is a problem in which the density of bones decreases, which also increases the possibility of their weakening and breaking. There can be many reasons behind this, such as lack of proper food, smoking or alcohol intake.
These women are more threatened
It was also said in the workshop that women whose menopause (period cycle is over 45 to 50) is also more likely to be hit by osteoporosis.
Symptoms and precautions
Dr. Tomar further said, ‘Patients facing osteoporosis have joint pain, apart from this, minor injuries can harm bones. In such a situation, through this program, it also tells that its patients do not keep pots, taxpets, wires, etc. in their homes in their homes, so that their feet are feared falling into it.
Reasons of osteoporosis
Another doctor involved in the program said that there may be reasons such as family history (someone in the family has osteoporosis), calcium and vitamin D deficiency behind osteoporosis. Apart from this, excessive amounts of alcohol consumption, smoking, lack of physical activities are also responsible for osteoporosis. Expert also said that nutrients rich in food, regular routine (discipline routine, such as exercise), distance from drugs and correct treatment can be avoided.
