The judge reprimanded the woman during a hearing in a divorce case in the Supreme Court. The woman has demanded Rs 5 crore as alimony from her husband. The woman’s husband is an engineer in Amazon.

Supreme Court Hearing: A woman asked her husband for a living of Rs 5 crore in exchange for divorce. The judges of the Supreme Court were surprised to hear the demand of the woman. The woman was married a year and two months ago. Justice JB Pardiwala heard the petition filed on his divorce. The bench warned the woman that if she was adamant on the demand for a living allowance of Rs 5 crore, she would be given a “very rigid order”.

Woman’s husband is an engineer in Amazon

The woman’s husband is working as an engineer in Amazon. He has offered Rs 35 lakh for the agreement. The woman is asking for Rs 5 crore. However, during the hearing, the woman’s lawyer denied the claims of the husband’s lawyer and said that the amount sought at the arbitration center was reduced by Rs 5 crore.

Justice Pardiwala said- Woman’s dreams are very big

Justice Pardiwala told the husband’s lawyer, “You will make a big mistake by calling him back. You will not be able to keep it with you. His dreams are very big.” The court termed the demand of Rs 5 crore inappropriate. Said that such a stance can invite adverse orders.

The Supreme Court directed the couple to return to the Supreme Court arbitration center for further agreement negotiations. Warned the woman to continue the demand for alimony of Rs 5 crore. Justice Pardiwala said,

We have been told that the wife has demanded Rs 5 crore to break the marriage. The marital life between the two sides is about one year. If this is the attitude of the wife, then we may have to give some orders that she does not like. Isn’t it? We hope that the wife will keep a reasonable demands and end the trial.

The Supreme Court has asked both sides to appear at the Supreme Court arbitration center on 5 October. The matter will be heard again after the submission report is submitted.
