GST Reform 2.0: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that PM Modi’s GST reform is a gift of Deepawali. Lowering the new GST rates will provide relief to medicines, education and farmers, increase purchasing power and new employment opportunities will be created.
Gorakhpur, 22 September. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the GST reforms made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are a big gift of Deepawali for the countrymen. He said that due to decrease in GST rates, new employment opportunities will be created and the purchasing power of the common consumer will increase.
GST will increase purchasing power and employment
The Chief Minister explained that when the tax rates are low, the ability to buy consumers will increase. Demand will increase due to increase in procurement, increase in demand, consumption will increase and increase production will generate new employment. In this way, the benefit of GST reform will directly benefit the general public and employment.
New GST rates implemented from Navratri
Yogi Adityanath said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi from the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, the reduced rates of GST have been implemented across the country. He said that this is the biggest GST reform ever.
Relief to medicines and farmers
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that life saving medicines have been completely taxed. The tax rate on other drugs has been reduced to five percent. GST has also been reduced to five percent or zero on useful goods for farmers.
Relief on education material
Yogi Adityanath said that now the rate of GST on teaching material has been reduced from 12 percent to zero. This will directly benefit the students and education sector.
GST reform new pace to economy
CM Yogi Adityanath said that GST is one but its benefits are many. These reforms will give new pace to the economy. Due to increasing the purchasing power of the common customer, the market will return to the market and festivals will be celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm. The strength of the market will increase consumption and production and its positive impact will appear on employment.
