What is right for you?
If you stay outside office, college or day and compact powder is a better option to touch up early. If you do full-face makeup or are getting ready for a party, function or photoshoot, then you can use any of both loose powder or compact.
Apart from this, according to skin type, you should use these two. People with oily skin can use both of them, but loose powder gives better oil control. Choose a compact powder to those with dry skin that contain moisturizer properties.
When to apply?
Compact powder gives more coverage than loose powder. So if you look like a light weight foundation such as BB or CC cream, then compact powder will be right for you. On the other hand, if the party is installing a foundation with heavy coverage while going somewhere, then applying loose powder will be the best option for you.
