AAP has accused PM Modi of hypocrisy on the call of ‘Swadeshi’. Arvind Kejriwal said that the PM should leave foreign goods themselves before giving advice to the public. The party has expected action from PM instead of preaching.
New Delhi: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday taunted Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his address to the nation and asked him to adopt ‘Swadeshi’ himself before advising the public. Sharing a post on X, the AAP leader asked PM Modi if he would abandon the alleged foreign goods used by him. Prime Minister, you want the public to adopt indigenous. Will you start using Swadeshi yourself? Will you leave the foreign airplane in which you roam every day? Will you leave all the foreign goods used throughout the day?
Questioning the American companies working in India, he said that the public expects action from the Prime Minister. Kejriwal said, “Will you shut down four American companies working in India? Trump is insulting India and Indians every day. Will you do nothing? People expect action from their Prime Minister, not preaching.”
AAP MP said- Modi is laden with foreign brands
Earlier on Sunday, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, while launching a scathing attack, criticized PM Modi’s advocacy for indigenous products and how to handle his GST reforms. He said, “PM Modi uses Italy’s glasses, Switzerland watch, US phone, German cars, and are laden with foreign brands, yet he asks people to use indigenous products.”
Modi made the country’s economy paralyzed
He alleged that crores of goods continue to import goods from Indo-US and China, yet PM Modi continues to advocate indigenous products. It is a matter of regret that the country has now found a Prime Minister who has made the economy paralyzed, has broken the back of the common man, and even weakened the foreign policy.
This reaction of AAP came after the Prime Minister’s request in which he urged citizens to adopt indigenous and give priority to the Made in India products, as new sanctioned goods and service tax (GST) improvements have come into force from the first day of ‘Shardiya Navratri’. PM Modi said in his address to the nation, “We have to make every house a symbol of Swadeshi… Every shop should be adorned with indigenous products.”
