Story of Chinnamasta Devi

According to a legend, once the goddess went to bathe in the Ganges river with her friends, after some time, her two friends felt hungry. His hunger was so intense that his color turned black. She started pleading with the goddess. Devi urged her to be patient, but she was still suffering from hunger. Seeing the plight of her friends, the mother beheaded her. While cutting the head, his head fell into his left hand. Three streams of blood flowed from it. Mother Goddess gave two streams to her friends and the remaining streams started drinking herself.
