Tom Holland rushed to hospital after getting injured on Spider-Man set – Here’s what happened

New Delhi: Actor Tom Holland was rushed to a hospital after he was injured on the sets of his upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The shooting of the film has been halted now, according to a Deadline report. The filming is taking place at Leavesden Studios in Watford, Hertfordshire.

According to reports, the actor suffered a mild concussion after a fall and was treated at a hospital for head injuries. Reportedly, a woman, believed to be a stunt double, was also hospitalized along with Tom Holland.

When will Tom Holland resume shooting?

Actor Tom Holland won’t resume shooting the film immediately, but it won’t be a long delay. He will be back on sets. The incident is not expected to impact the scheduled release date. According to a source quoted by Deadline, the actor will take a break from filming “out of precaution”, but is expected to be back on the set in a few days.

Meanwhile, the producers of the film will hold a meeting soon to adjust and review shooting schedules.

Tom Holland is known for doing movies known for involving stunts and has had incidents before as well. Explaining the same, he told Hollywood Reporter once that he had to get hit by a car 17 times. He added, “On Uncharted, there was a point in time where I had to make the call and say, ‘Guys, I’m going to need a weekend because if not, I’m going to sort of fall apart.’ I got quite a nasty bit of tendinitis in my hamstring, which held me back quite a bit, but thankfully, that was more toward the end of the shoot.”
