New Delhi: KL Rahul became the first Asian opener to score multiple centuries at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London after smashing a brilliant 100-run knock in the ongoing 3rd Test between India and England. Rahul achieved the elusive feat during India’s first innings on Day 3 of the Test match at Lord’s.
It was his second Test ton at Lord’s as he entered an exclusive club of visiting batters to have scored multiple hundreds at the venue as openers. Bill Brown, West Indies legend Gordon Greenidge and former South Africa captain Graeme Smith are the only other three batters to have scored two or more Test hundreds at Lord’s as an opener.
