Actor Suniel Shetty believes Bihar could soon emerge as a major destination for film productions, with the state’s new film-related policies opening up fresh opportunities for the industry.
Shetty recently visited Patna and met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to discuss arrangements and logistics for an upcoming film that is expected to be shot in the state.
Speaking to the media, the Dhadkan actor said discussions are underway for a production that could begin filming in Bihar in October 2026 and continue for around 50 to 60 days.
“We have a meeting with the entire department. They want to come for a shooting. They want to shoot a film from October. Because there are new film-related policies. Bihar is going to be a big destination for film shooting,” Shetty said.
He added that the production team is expected to visit Bihar next week to scout locations and assess the arrangements before finalising the shoot.
“It’s a 50-60 day shooting. That’s why we came to discuss everything. It’s a very good place. The entire team will come to see it next week. And then, I think, from October, there will be a shooting for at least 50-60 days,” he said.
The actor’s comments come as Bihar seeks to attract more film productions through its new policies and promote the state as a viable location for filmmakers.
On the work front, Shetty was last seen in Welcome to the Jungle, an action-comedy featuring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani and Jackie Shroff.
