2 New Mahindra SUVs (7 & 5-Seater) – Testing Underway, Launch Soon

Mahindra & Mahindra recently announced its plan to expand its model lineup with 16 new launches over the next five years. The upcoming range will include a mix of 10 ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles and 6 EVs (electric vehicles). Meanwhile, the indigenous automaker is gearing up for two major SUV launches – the 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift and the Mahindra Vision S. Both models are currently undergoing extensive testing and expected to arrive in the coming months.

Upcoming Mahindra SUVs by 2026

Spy shots suggest that the  will receive minimal design changes including a slightly updated front grille, tweaked bumpers, new five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and new LED signatures for the taillamps.

Inside the cabin, the SUV will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (sourced from the Thar Roxx), redesigned centre console, repositioning AC vents and a new digital driver’s display. The carmaker might also introduce a bunch of new features to further enhance its value proposition.

Under the hood, the new Mahindra Scorpio N 2026 facelift is likely to retain the existing 2.0L turbo petrol engine producing 203bhp and 2.2L diesel engine generating 175bhp. Transmission options are also expected to be carried over.

The production-ready  is expected to retain several design elements from the concept showcased in August last year. It’s likely to be a sub-4m SUV with an upright stance and rugged styling, challenging the upcoming rivals such as the Renault Bridger and Tata Scarlet. Both of these models are slated to hit roads in 2027.

While the exact powertrain details will be revealed closer to its debut or launch, the Vision S is expected to share the 1.5L, four-cylinder diesel engine with the XUV 3XO. The SUV lineup might also be offered with petrol, hybrid and electric powertrain options as its NU_IQ modular platform supports all these technologies.
