Zubeen Garg: Tribute to Jubin Garg will be paid for 40 minutes before India’s match, BCCI’s big decision

Everyone is in mourning with the sudden demise of popular singer Zubin Garg. Zubin died during scuba diving in Singapore on Friday. The Singapore police evacuated him from the sea and admitted him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. He was about to perform at the Northeast Festival to be held in Singapore. In such a situation, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced to organize a 40 -minute tribute program just before the inaugural match of the Women’s Cricket World Cup in memory of Zubin Garg.

BCCI will pay tribute to Zubin Garg

BCCI general secretary Devjit Saikia recently announced this tribute, which will be held in collaboration with the Assam Cricket Association. Saikia said that the event will become part of the inauguration ceremony of the World Cup keeping in mind the intense mourning in Assam due to Garg’s death. This tribute will be a medium to respect Garg’s high prestige and heritage created by his years of struggle. It can also be called the biggest honor given by the cricket community to an Indian musician.

Devjit Saikia told PTI, ‘After Jubin’s death, Assam has a huge mourning and sad situation. Keeping in mind that situation and as a person entitled to an honor, Assam Cricket Association and BCCI will organize a tribute program during the inauguration ceremony. This will be our tribute and honor to Zubeen. This will be a 40 -minute program in memory of Zubeen, which will be the biggest tribute to him from the cricket world.

First match will be played on 30 September

Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will be played in joint hosting of India and Sri Lanka. This two -end is to be organized between September 30 and November 2. The first match of the Cricket World Cup 2025 will be played between the teams of India and Sri Lanka. Jubin Garg will be paid tribute before this match.
