Krunal Pandya is enjoying a purple patch at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and he won his second back-to-back IPL title with them.
RCB, who entered IPL 2026 as the defending champions, defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL final to successfully retain the title. While Krunal won his second consecutive IPL title, Hardik Pandya had a forgettable season. Hardik-led Mumbai Indians (MI) crashed out of the league stage of the season. The five-time IPL Champions only managed 4 wins and finished in the ninth spot. They didn’t even manage two back-to-back wins in the season.
Hardik hasn’t won an IPL title since 2022. He captained GT to a title win in their debut season in 2022. Both the Pandya brothers have now won the same number of IPL trophies. Here, we have a look at the total number of IPL trophies they have –
Hardik kicked off his IPL career with MI in 2015 and was part of their title-winning campaign. He won his next IPL title in 2017. MI retained him before the IPL 2018 mega-auction. Hardik had a key role in MI’s third IPL title win in 2019.

Hardik was also part of MI’s title-winning campaign in 2020. MI released him after IPL 2021. He joined GT before the IPL 2022 mega-auction and captained them to a title win in 2022. He left GT after two seasons and returned to MI as their captain.
A little-known Krunal joined MI in the IPL 2016 mini-auction. He was part of their title wins in 2017, 2019 and 2020. Released by MI before IPL 2022, Krunal joined Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the mega-auction.
After a three-year stint with LSG, Krunal joined RCB in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. He is RCB’s big-match player in IPL. He delivered a Player of the Match performance in the IPL 2025 final and scalped 2 wickets for only 17 runs in four overs. Krunal only spent 26 runs for one wicket in the IPL 2026 final.
