Dushara Vijayan has opened up about a personal loss that remains difficult for her to speak about publicly. The actress recently opened up about the death of her elder sister, who had been living with rare condition since birth and was paralysed from the neck down. Dushara revealed that her sister played a big role in developing her passion for dance and continues to be a guiding light for her and remembers before stepping out of her home. was born in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, to K Vijayan and Sheela. Her father is associated with the political party DMK, in Dindigul and has been supportive of Dushara’s acting career. The actress had one elder sister Durga. Dushara recently revealed that her second elder sister passed away around 10 years ago after living with myopathy since birth. In a recent chat with SS Music, the actress spoke about how her sister would encourage her to dance while sitting in her wheelchair.

Dushara said her sibling would often share her different movements and ideas. “But she would sit in her chair and tell me, ‘Play like this, dance like this,’ and things like that. Sometimes, everything would actually begin with her. was extremely close to my sister,” Dushara said. Dushara has previously revealed that she looks at her late sister’s photograph and prays before leaving home. She has called the ritual as something she continues to follow even years after her sister’s death.
