‘Mantras echoed in the temple after 37 years, Muslims gave a warm welcome to Kashmiri Pandits’ – News Himachali News Himachali

After a long gap of almost 37 years, a two-day religious program was organized at the ancient Ganesh temple located in Kachhwa. People of Kashmiri Pandit community who came from far-flung areas participated in this program.

During this period, Havan and puja were organised, due to which the entire area was immersed in an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Syed Fakhruddin Hamid also visited the site during the programme. He described this initiative as a positive step towards peace and development. He said that there is a wave of peace and progress in the Union Territory and such an event in Kachchha is a symbol of social harmony.

The Deputy Commissioner praised the local Muslim community and said that they welcomed the Pandit community with open heart, which is a great example of brotherhood and mutual harmony in the area. He congratulated everyone for this initiative. He further said that the administration is planning to set up a Yatri Niwas for the pilgrims in this area and full support will be given to the Pandit community in the construction of the new temple. Besides, this place will also be developed as religious tourism.

On this occasion, people of the Pandit community had come from far and wide, while the local Muslim community took special care of their stay and other necessary arrangements. Jammu and Kashmir Police and Administration had also made elaborate arrangements for security and facilities. This event emerged as an example of communal harmony, brotherhood and shared heritage in the region.
