Addressing the speculation, Yash revealed that Toxic involved an extensive shooting schedule and significant effort behind the scenes. The actor also spoke about the challenges of bringing together a large ensemble from different industries while creating a film with a wider vision. Yash offered a glimpse into the long journey behind Toxic and why its scale required considerable time.
Yash addressed the repeated reports surrounding Toxic at the film’s trailer launch. The actor acknowledged that speculation about the film being shelved or stopped had surfaced frequently during its production, particularly as the project faced multiple postponements. “Every 10th day or 20th day, there will be news about a film being shelved, a film being stopped. I don’t know from where they write these stories,” Yash said.
The actor explained that making a film on the scale of Toxic was never going to be a straightforward process. With a large ensemble, multiple locations, schedules and other production requirements involved, the team had to navigate several challenges while bringing the project together.

Toxic was shot for 200 days
Addressing the perception that he had taken a long gap between projects, Yash revealed that work on Toxic actually began two years before the trailer launch. He also disclosed that the film underwent an extensive 200-day shoot and was filmed in two different versions. “It might look like I’ve taken a long gap, trust me. We started August 8, two years ago. This film was shot for 200 days. We have shot two versions,” he revealed.
The actor further highlighted the commitment of the film’s producer, particularly amid the speculation and delays surrounding the project. According to Yash, the scale of the production and the effort invested in it will ultimately be visible in the finished film. “You can see every penny we have spent. It is on screen,” Yash said.
Beyond addressing the rumours, Yash also spoke about the larger vision behind . The actor stressed that the film should not be viewed through the narrow lens of a particular regional film industry. With actors and technicians coming from different backgrounds, Yash said the project brought together people who were willing to put individual considerations aside and work towards a common vision.
