Lovely Professional University (LPU) welcomed its new batch of students with a star-studded Freshers’ Induction 2026, as Bollywood actors Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Karan Deol interacted with students and added a dose of entertainment and excitement to the campus celebrations.
The actors engaged with freshers through candid conversations and a question-and-answer session, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience. Sunny Deol also entertained students with live renditions of some of his iconic film dialogues. The actors spoke about and promoted their upcoming film Batwara 1947 during the interaction.
LPU Founder Chancellor and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal and Pro Chancellor Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal welcomed and felicitated the visiting actors.
The interactive session gave students an opportunity to ask questions and hear the actors share their views from the stage. Their responses were met with cheers and applause from the packed gathering.
The programme also featured student-led music, dance and cultural performances, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. The combination of student talent and interaction with prominent personalities gave the freshers an engaging introduction to campus life.
