The inaugural GoRally Super League roared to life at the vibrant GR Indiranagar courts in Bengaluru, bringing together some of the finest pickleball talent in the country.
The much-anticipated event, designed in a round-robin format, features multiple divisions across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles-ensuring every category of the sport finds its champions and storylines.
Men’s Singles Division 1 lived up to its billing with Rashein stamping his authority early. With 21 points, he surged to the top of the table, showcasing a blend of tactical shot-making and relentless energy. Hot on his heels, contenders will be keen to cut into his lead, setting up fiery clashes in the coming weekends.
In Men’s Singles Division 2, Shreshth proved to be the day’s most dominant singles performer. His 25-point haul was built on a string of confident rallies and near-flawless control, making him the early favourite. Meanwhile, Division 3 saw Raghav rise above his group with 17 points, demonstrating consistency and patience under pressure. In Division 4, it was Arnav who stole the show, piling up 14 points-a tally that reflected both his aggressive intent and composure in crucial moments.
Doubles action added another layer of excitement. In Men’s Doubles Division 1, the pairing of Gowtham and Rishi stormed into the lead with 18 points, proving their chemistry and coordination were second to none on opening day. Meanwhile, Men’s Doubles Division 2 witnessed Mohammed and SreeRam surge ahead with a commanding 22 points, establishing themselves as the duo to beat.
Mixed doubles brought a perfect blend of flair and drama, with Gowtham teaming up with Sharmada to snatch the top spot. Their 12 points on Day 1 highlighted how their combination of attacking precision and defensive solidity could make them a formidable pair through the tournament.
The opening day of the GoRally Super League was nothing short of spectacular-packed with rallies that had the crowd gasping, smashes that echoed across the venue, and leaders emerging across every division. With the round-robin format ensuring no team or player can rest easy, Bengaluru is set to witness pickleball at its fiercest and most competitive best in the days ahead.
The message was clear: GoRally Super League has arrived, and it means business.
The league has been structured to give athletes maximum exposure and competitive opportunities. The league will bring together the city’s top singles and doubles players in a round-robin format, ensuring that every player or team gets to face a wide range of opponents. Matches will be contested across three categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, covering the most popular and competitive divisions of the sport. In keeping with international standards, all results are DUPR-coded, which not only adds credibility but also ensures continuity in the players’ official ratings.
The scale of the event itself underscores the enthusiasm for pickleball in Karnataka. A total of 85 players have registered for the competition, with each player or team scheduled to play nine matches during the league stage. This amounts to more than 300 matches in total, making it one of the largest pickleball events hosted in the region to date.
Among the prominent names confirmed to compete are Sharmada Balu, Rashein Samuel, Gowtham R, Ranjith Kupli, Kavya Jayaraman, and Rishi Reddy. Their participation is expected to raise the level of competition and draw significant attention from the local sporting community.
