These models include the 7-seater version of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider and the next-generation Toyota Fortuner. The company is currently testing both. Recently, some spy shots of these SUVs have surfaced, which has further increased the excitement of buyers. The company is going to present both these new SUVs with many great features. 7-seater Toyota Hyrider
Toyota is preparing to launch a seven-seat version of its popular urban cruiser Hyrider. This will be a family SUV. It is expected that the company will launch it during the festive season in the second half of this year. Test models of this SUV have been seen on the roads several times. Based on the test model, it can be predicted that the SUV will have a long rear overhang and tall side profile. Mechanically, it will get the same engine options as the existing highrider. It includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates power of 103 BHP with mild-hybrid technology. Apart from this, there is also a strong hybrid setup which gives a total power of 116 BHP. All-wheel drive (AWD) system will also be offered in it. Its price is expected to be between Rs 16 lakh to Rs 24 lakh.
Next-generation Toyota Fortuner
The global launch of the new generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to take place by mid-2026. It may also come to India by the end of 2026. The price of this new model can be between Rs 36 lakh to Rs 55 lakh. The new Fortuner will be based on the updated IMV ladder-frame platform, and its structure will be very similar to the next-generation Hilux. It will get new LED taillights, a connected light bar and a redesigned bumper. At the front, there will be sharp LED headlamps, a large grill and a sporty bumper.
Major changes are expected in the interior of the new Fortuner. This may include a 12.3-inch infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital driver display, ADAS features, OTA updates and better connected car technology. Powertrain options will remain the same as the current model. The company can also offer 48V mild-hybrid diesel engine in it.
