Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme 2025: A great news has come for the students of Bihar. Prior to the assembly elections 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a big announcement in the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. Now students will not have to pay any kind of interest on the loan for education. That is, earlier where boys had to pay 4 percent and girls, disabled and transgender students had to pay 1 percent interest, now this loan will be completely free for all students. This new decision of the government will directly benefit millions of students and their families. Under this loan, students can use money for courses like BSC, BA, BTECH, MBBS for fees and other expenses. BSCC 2025: Facility to repay interest free loan up to 7 years

Under the new arrangement of Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, now students will be able to repay the loan without interest for 7 years. The government has taken two major decisions. In which the first- the deadline for repaying the loan has been extended and the second- interest has been completely waived. Earlier, where the loan of up to Rs 2 lakh had to be repaid in 5 years, now it can be filled in comfort installments for 7 years. At the same time, the installments of more than 2 lakh loans had to be finished in the first 7 years, but now it will get up to 10 years.

The purpose and benefits of Bihar Education Loan

The scheme was launched on 2 October 2016 under the Seven Determination Scheme. Its aim was that after passing 12th, no student’s studies stopped due to lack of money. Initially, students were given a loan of up to Rs 4 lakh. CM Nitish Kumar wrote on social media that it is the government’s effort to get more and more students higher education. This new feature of interest -free loan will encourage children and help them focus on studies without anxiety. He believes that this will not only make the future of the students but also strengthen the future of Bihar and the country.

Who can apply for Bihar Student Credit Card?

Every student who is from Bihar will benefit from this scheme and fulfills some important conditions-

• The age of the applicant should be at least 25 years.
• It is necessary to pass the 12th examination.
• There should be admission in a recognized college or university.
• It will be mandatory to complete the entire course.

How to apply for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme?

• The entire process of application for this scheme is online.
• First of all visit the official website 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in.
• Click on New Applicant Registration.
• Put name, email ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number and complete registration through OTP.
• After successful registration, the username and password will be found by email and SMS.
• Now login to the website and fill the Personal Information Page.
• Select the BSCC option from the drop-down and submit it by filling the application form.
• After the form is submitted, an Acknowledgment Number will be available.
• After this, the concerned District Registration and Counseling Center (DRCC) will send email and SMS to the student and tell the date of document verification.
• On the due date, the student will have to go to DRCC with all the documents.
• Students will be given a student credit card and loan collection letter after verification and loan collection from the bank.
• The student will be able to get the loan amount after completing the formalities in the bank.
