Superstar Rajinikanth has turned down a proposal to hold the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Jailer 2’ in Malaysia, according to media reports.
Reports suggest that the film’s team had considered organising the grand event in Malaysia, where the audio launch of Chief Minister Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ was recently held. The proposal was reportedly presented after discussions with Malaysian distributor Datuk Malik.
According to the reports, Rajinikanth was not in favour of choosing the same venue, as he did not want the event to be perceived as competing with Vijay’s film. The reported remarks have since attracted considerable attention on social media. However, neither Rajinikanth nor the makers of ‘Jailer 2’ have officially confirmed or commented on the reports.
