Kunchacko Boban’s Malayalam psychological mystery thriller Unmadham witnessed a marginal increase in its box office collection on Sunday, August 2. The Kiran Das directorial, which opened in theatres on July 31, has completed its first weekend and entered its first Monday. Day 4 collections are currently underway.
According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Unmadham collected an estimated ₹80 lakh net in India on Day 3 from 606 shows. The film had earned an estimated ₹77 lakh on Saturday, which means its Sunday collection registered a growth of approximately 3.9 per cent over the previous day.

After three days in theatres, Unmadham has accumulated an estimated India net collection of ₹2.27 crore. Its India gross collection stands at approximately ₹2.63 crore, as per Sacnilk.
The film began its theatrical run with an estimated ₹70 lakh net in India on Friday. It subsequently registered a small increase on its first Saturday, earning around ₹77 lakh. The upward movement continued on Sunday, when the collection reached an estimated ₹80 lakh.
The three-day figures show that the film remained within a relatively narrow collection range throughout its opening weekend. Its Saturday earnings were around ₹7 lakh higher than Friday, while Sunday added another ₹3 lakh over Saturday.
Monday, August 3, marks the fourth day of the film’s theatrical run. With the weekend period over, its weekday performance will determine how the collections move after the first three days. Day 4 figures are still being accumulated as shows continue across theatres.

The story revolves around a police constable whose past continues to weigh on him. He becomes involved in an old unsolved case and begins looking into circumstances that had remained buried for years. His investigation gradually brings previously concealed details to the surface and forces him to reassess events connected to both the case and his own life.
The film is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon serving as co-producers. Arjun Sethu handled the cinematography, while Mujeeb Majeed composed the music. Kiran Das and Jithin John are credited with the editing.
