Jana Nayagan Box Office Day 11: CM Vijay Starrer Inches Closer To Rs 300 Crore Globally

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is proving to be one of Tamil cinema’s biggest hits, delivering another impressive jump in collections during its second weekend. The action drama recorded good numbers on Sunday after an encouraging Saturday, which shows the audience’s interest in the film. This comes at a time when the Vijay-starrer is facing disruptions in Karnataka, where protests over the Cauvery water dispute resulted in the cancellation of scheduled screenings at screenings in Mandya and Bengaluru. The film marks Bollywood Bobby Deol’s first collaboration with Vijay, and his second Tamil film in which he plays the antagonist.

Jana Nayagan Inches Closer to Rs 300 crore Worldwide

 ‘s  continued its theatrical run by registering another increase in collections on its second Sunday. According to Sacnilk, the action drama earned Rs 10.70 crore net in India on Day 11, marking a 37.2 percent jump over the Rs 7.80 crore collected on Day 10. The latest figures have taken the film’s total India net collection to Rs 175.60 crore, while its India gross now stands at Rs 204.92 crore. Overseas, the film added another Rs 3 crore on Sunday, pushing its international gross to Rs 91 crore. Jana Nayagan has now earned Rs 295.92 crore worldwide, leaving it just a few crores away from the Rs 300 crore milestone.

The film was screened across 4,321 shows in India on Day 11. The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor with Rs 9.75 crore, while the Hindi version earned Rs 85 lakh. The Telugu version added Rs 10 lakh.

Tamil Nadu alone generated Rs 10 crore in gross collections. Karnataka contributed Rs 75 lakh, Kerala collected Rs 50 lakh, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 15 lakh. The rest of India contributed another Rs 1 crore, taking the total India gross collection for the day to Rs 12.40 crore.

After collecting Rs 153.55 crore in its opening week, the film earned Rs 4.05 crore on its second Thursday, followed by Rs 7.80 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.70 crore on Day 11. Directed by H. Vinoth, apart from C Joseph Vijay and Bobby Deol, the film stars Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju, with Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain and Priyamani in supporting roles. The film is the official remake of the 2023 Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari. Vijay reportedly received between Rs 220 crore and Rs 275 crore for the film, making him one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema.
