Why do the urns install?

Apart from fasting for 9 days during Sharadiya Navratri, there is also a tradition of establishing Kalash on the first day. It is religious belief that in the Kalash, there is a residence of Tridevas (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva) and by establishing the Kalash, all the deities are invited to one place. It is said that by installation of urn, negative energy is removed in the house and positive energy arrives.
