DUSU Elections 2025 Results: ABVP dominates polls, sweeps 3 out of 4 seats; Aryan Maan is new DUSU president

New Delhi: The ABVP has won the Delhi University Students’ Union elections. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has captured 3 out of 4 positions on the DUSU central panel, including the position of President. However, the DUSU Vice President position is held by the NSUI. ABVP’s Aryan Mann won the DUSU President position by approximately 16,000 votes. The Vice President position went to NSUI’s Rahul Jhasla. ABVP’s Kunal Chaudhary also won the Secretary position, and ABVP’s Deepika Jha won the Joint Secretary position.

  • NSUI- Rahul Jhansla – 29339 votes (Winner)

DUSU Secretary

  • ABVP- Kunal Chaudhary – 23779 votes (Winner)
  • NSUI- Kabir – 16117 votes

DUSU Joint Secretary

  • ABVP- Deepika Jha – 21825 votes (Winner)
  • NSUI- Lavekesh Bhadana – 17380 votes

Top leaders congratulate ABVP on win

Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on its victory in the DUSU elections and said, “Congratulations to the ABVP workers on the landslide victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections. This victory is a reflection of the youth’s unwavering faith in the nation-first ideology. This victory will further accelerate the Parishad’s journey to transform student power into national power.”

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also congratulated the winning ABVP candidates, saying, “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the young colleagues on the resounding victory of the ABVP in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections. This victory is not just for one organization, but for every young person who considers patriotism, discipline, service, and struggle as their way of life. I am proud to have lived and learned these values ​​as Delhi University Students’ Union President.”

She further said, “This result shows that Delhi’s youth are steadfast in the ideals of knowledge, modesty, and unity, and the path of struggle that the ABVP established decades ago. This youth power will take Delhi to new heights in the future and establish it on the world stage as a strong, cultured, and self-confident capital.”

It is worth noting that a total of 21 candidates contested for four posts in the Delhi University Students’ Union elections 2025. Voting took place on September 18th, with approximately 1.53 lakh registered students from 52 colleges and departments of Delhi University. Of these, 60,272 students voted. This year’s total voter turnout was 39.45%.
