Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Within the first 12 hours of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana portal going live, around 34,000 women registered on the online portal.
Of these, nearly 1,940 applications were submitted after completing all the required formalities.
The Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, launched by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday, provides eligible women in the national capital with Rs 2,500 per month in financial assistance.
The government said the scheme aims not only to provide monthly financial support but also to promote long-term financial security for women.
A budgetary allocation of Rs 5,110 crore has been made for the scheme in the 2026-27 budget. Beyond direct financial assistance, the initiative seeks to promote savings, digital financial inclusion and social security among women.
Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Who Can Apply?
According to the scheme guidelines, women aged 21 to 60 years with an annual family income of up to Rs 2.5 lakh are eligible to apply.
However, the following categories of applicants are not eligible:
– Women already receiving benefits under any other financial assistance scheme or pension.
– Taxpayers.
– Government employees.
– Women with more than three living children.
– Families with annual electricity consumption exceeding 2,400 units.
– Those who own a four-wheeler.
– Families with any member employed in government service.
– Families with any member facing a criminal case.
-> Only the eldest eligible woman in a family can apply under the scheme.
Additionally, the applicant, or her parents or husband, must have been residents of Delhi for at least 10 years. The beneficiary must also be a registered voter in the national capital.
Step 2: Enter your personal details, including Aadhaar and other basic information.
Step 3: Fill in the required details of all family members.
Step 4: Provide your bank account details for the transfer of benefits.
Step 5: Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 6: Review the application carefully and submit it.
Step 7: Upload the signed MP/MLA endorsement letter.
Step 8: Download and save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
